Biography
Early Life
Danil “Gpk~” Skutin was born on September 3, 2001, in Russia. From a young age, he was passionate about video games and quickly became skilled at Dota 2. Unlike many midlaners who rely solely on flashy plays, Gpk~ had a deep understanding of the game’s tempo, which helped him become one of the best mechanical players in the pro scene. If not THE best mechanical player.
How He Became a Pro
Gpk~ started his professional Dota 2 career in 2018, playing for small CIS teams like Team Spirit and Gambit Esports. His exceptional midlane skills quickly earned him recognition as one of the most promising young talents in the region.
In 2020, he was signed by Virtus.pro, where he became the centerpiece of their young and dominant roster. Under his leadership in the midlane, VP dominated regional tournaments and established themselves as a top team. However, despite strong performances, they struggled to convert their success into deep runs at The International.
In 2022, Gpk~ moved to BetBoom Team, where he continued to showcase his aggressive, high-tempo playstyle. His ability to single-handedly take over games made him one of the most feared midlaners in Dota 2.
