Early Life
Aleksandr “rue” Filin was born on January 19, 2004, in Russia. He started playing video games when he was young, just like most kids. He played Dota 2 casually with friends but soon realized he really loved the game and wanted to get better at it. Instead of having a coach or teacher, he learned by playing lots of games and practicing on his own.
Career
rue began his pro career in late 2020. He joined smaller teams in the CIS region and played in online cups. In 2021, he joined a team called CyberLife, but they didn’t do well enough to qualify for big tournaments. However, he didn’t give up. In 2023, rue joined a team called IVY, but they didn’t do well either and disbanded.
In September 2023, rue joined a new team called Yellow Submarine. He became known for playing heroes like Techies and Rubick, and his team started getting noticed. In June 2024, rue joined the famous team Team Spirit, where he replaced two players. This was a big step in his career, and it gave him the chance to play with some of the best Dota 2 players in the world.
