OG is one of the most legendary organizations in competitive Dota 2 history. After dominating the late 2010s with back-to-back international titles, the organization entered a rebuilding era in the mid-2020s.
In late 2025, OG made a bold strategic shift by signing a full Filipino roster and moving its competitive focus to Southeast Asia—marking a new chapter in the team’s legacy.
Early Days
Founded in 2015, OG quickly rose to prominence in Europe by winning four Valve Majors between 2015 and 2017. The organization became known for its strong internal culture, resilience, and creative drafting.
The team reached historic heights by winning The International 2018 and defending the title in 2019—becoming the first and only back-to-back TI champions in Dota 2 history. That era cemented OG as one of esports’ most iconic organizations.
Following gradual roster departures and competitive struggles in the early 2020s, OG began searching for a long-term rebuild strategy.
Rise to a New Era (2025–2026)
After inconsistent results in Western Europe and difficulty qualifying for premier international events, OG initiated a complete competitive reset in late 2025.
On November 8, 2025, the organization signed an all-Filipino Southeast Asian roster featuring established regional stars and experienced international veterans:
- Yopaj, widely regarded as one of SEA’s strongest mid players
- TIMS and Skem, seasoned support players with deep LAN experience
- Natsumi and Nikko, known for their aggressive carry and initiation playstyles
