In December 2022, Larl joined Team Spirit, replacing their previous midlaner, TORONTOTOKYO. Before this, he played for BetBoom Team. His current nickname is read as both Larl and Lari; he doesn’t care about it.
He is playing more of a sacrificial role in Team Spirit as a midlaner. The reason behind this is Yatoro and Collapse who are very greedy cores. Larl is getting a lot of hate because of his low net worth in games. When I spoke to Korb3n(Team Spirit Manager), he said that Larl is actually doing a lot of things in the game and that’s what is needed for the team. Meaning, there is no negativity in the team. Larl is not a strong laner as gpk~ or Quinn for example, who are known to be the best laners in the Dota2 Pro Scene. However, Larl is very good in team fights because he does not tilt and is always calm.
Larl plays heroes like Keeper of the Light, Pangolier, and Invoker, which don’t need a ton of farm but are super useful in fights. His teamwork with Miposhka (Team Spirit’s captain) helps the team play in a more organized way.
Even though some fans don’t appreciate his playstyle, his teammates and coaches know how important he is. If he improves his laning skills while keeping his cool in fights, he could become one of the best midlaners in Dota 2. (He won a TI and Ryadh Masters)
