Best Mid Players 2024

There is always a debate, about WHO IS the best mid-laner (Dota2) in the world. Based on my data, I will rank the 5 best mid-players of the 2024 season. It is always exciting to rank the top performers of this game. Now, let’s see based on what I ranked them?

  • 2024 Results

PlaystyleConsistent, versatile, high impact, very aggressive, Strong Laner

Nisha is by far the best midlaner in 2024.The guy won everything. And I mean everything. He won the TI and also Majors, also he was placed second place at 4 majors. However, that’s not the only reason why I think he deserves the number one spot. Nisha is an absolute menace on mid and it is very hard to lane against him. Remember what he did against Beastcoast as a Shadow Fiend? (29 Kills) at DreamLeague Season 19.

Puppey in an interview with Nix about the best players ever

The top 2 are definitely Nisha and Miracle-. I’m not sure about the third. [Is Yatoro up there?] If Yatoro could go and kill Quinn as Shadow Fiend in mid, I’d believe that. But that’s what Miracle- did. He fought against anyone, as Invoker, SF, or any other hero and defeated the strongest midlaners. And he can also play as a carry. The same with Nisha. He could play position 1 and then go mid and still defeat anyone. Miracle- and Nisha are the two players who can do many things in Dota.

Quinn is the guy who basically carried Gaimin Gladiators in the whole season. Yeah, he has some tilting problems and raging in pubs, but when it comes to pro-dota, let’s be honest – the guy is an absolute machine. He won everything except the TI (where he got second place TWICE). Since I have some insights from CIS players, here is what RAMZES666 said about him.

What do I think about Sisia (Quinn)? “Russian slang for Quinn is Sisia”
The fact that the guy is an absolute donkey in real life is not a surprise to anybody. I don’t like him and he doesn’t like me – I don’t care. But, God Damn it he is sooo good….When I played in Tundra Esports, I remember a game against GG where I felt fear of this guy, he was relentless and always going for the kill. (Especially for me, haha)

Topson, or as people from the CIS community like to call him – Papa Topson had an incredible last ride with Tundra Esports. He got 3rd place with the team but could’ve won the last match. There is nothing much to be added for Topias, he was a savage on mid. His hero pool and playstyle is very unique, so that’s why people had a hard time laning vs him.

No one is trolling him. I think everyone respects him. This dude has just lived his life. I don’t know who translates this as a joke. He’s won world championships, simultaneously had kids, hit the gym to prove to Pavel Volya that he’s ****, and hasn’t slowed down in his results. The guy is literally a legend.

Notable Achievements1st Place – DreamLeague S24 (2024)

Stas/Malr1ne is nothing more than an enigma to me. So, I know this guy FOR YEARS grinding pubs. I never thought or believed that he would join Team Falcons and literally win everything what is it there to win in Dota2. More than that, I believe that they would win the TI as well. His Pango, Razor, and Huskar are a problem for anybody in mid. To me, in Falcons he and ATF were the real carries. Honestly, so proud of hi and he deserves to be in this list.

You know, gpk still doesn’t have the same *** aura as Malr1ne. For me, Malr1ne is definitely a stronger midlaner than gpk. In my opinion, Malr1ne is also a smarter midlaner than gpk. Malr1ne is simply a smarter player compared to gpk. Gpk is just a *** mechanically strong player, but in terms of game intelligence, Malr1ne is smarter. So I would rate him higher.

Playing StyleNoone is known for his aggressive mid-lane play and excellent positioning. He often dominates the lane and looks for opportunities to snowball into the mid game. He is known to be a very tactical player with strong game sense, controlling the pace of the game and outsmarting opponents.
Signature PlaysFamous for his Shadow Fiend performances, both in terms of farming and dominating enemy mids. Often a pivotal force in teamfights.
StrengthsGreat mechanical skill, high impact in teamfights, excellent lane control, strong decision-making skills
WeaknessesCan be too aggressive at times, leading to high-risk plays which may backfire

No[o]ne- (Vovan) is actually my favorite midlaner from this list. But, I cannot put him above the other because he joined Cloud9 a little bit later in 2024. That being said, the guy is a monster. Man, he’s having a resurrecting career or something. Do you see him laning? It’s like the old Virtus Pro days. He is so mechanically skilled that he beats the younger generation like nothing. I really hope this season he will show everything he can and I hope he wins either Ryadh or TI. Simply, because he deserves it.

There are three players in the history of Dota 2 that have reached a new height in laning. I think No[o]ne is the greatest of all time in that regard. Sumail was pretty good but very erratic as he would style on everybody but not as consistently as No[o]ne. The third is Maybe

The Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed the list, I will do more in 2025 and rank the best pro players that we will have this season.
